FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Why should I choose you over the competition?

I have a passion and the experience it takes to create revolutionary designs, whether that be in creating a whole new brand identity or making a simple business card. I work for an in-house company that gives me the opportunity to see my work printed off at hand.

My offering comes unique because I offer a wide variety of work that I can provide. Most designers can only do one thing or the other, and reaching out to multiple sources will result as a cluttered project.  Since I provide most of the work, I will keep keep the project more cohesive and elegant.

Q: What kind of services do you offer?

I honestly offer all kinds of services and I'm willing to taking up new challenges and opportunities, but overall I offer 3 different kinds of services:

BRANDING

Logo design for startups, brand refreshes, graphic standards manuals, stationary design and complete brand identity systems.

ILLUSTRATION

A few illustrated examples include Posters, Apps, Apparel and Packaging.

TYPOGRAPHY & LAYOUT

Wedding Announcements, Invitations, Business Cards, and Flyers are just a few examples of what can be created.

Q: Do you do small projects?

Absolutely! To me no project is too small or too big. I consider all of my projects to the highest of standards, however in any situation, the longer I spend on a project the more it will cost.

Q: What is your design process like?

Most of my projects proceed in the following way:

  1. Initial meeting/call

  2. Quote or proposal to Client

  3. 25% of payment

  4. Research, initial concepts, and mock-ups.

  5. Client Review

  6. Revisions to finished project

  7. Final payment

  8. All final files provided

Q: What are your prices/rates?

I wish I had a simple answer for this, but every project varies according to it's needs and timing. I do offer two types of billing depending on the project:

  • Hourly rate - I currently charge $30 an hour only after the first hour, Anything that can take me less than an hour can vary on price.

  • Fixed rate - This will be a predetermined price for bigger projects and will vary according to how much is ordered.

I do offer a FREE, no obligation, quote and can be flexible with my pricing. Everything will be discussed before any effort  is committed into the project.

Q: What are your billing policies?

For all projects I require 25% payment before the I start the job This is due to establishing a commitment that we're in this together and I will provide you with the results you will expect. Besides cash, I do accept checks and Venmo. I'll keep you informed of other payment methods in the near future.

Q: Can we communicate over the phone if I'm too busy?

Of course! I understand that we all can get caught up with other responsibilities and meet ups can seem impossible. Also I'm wanting you to feel the most comfortable as we go through this process, so whether that be over the phone, Skype, or a meet up I'm all for it. For those within the Salt Lake City or Provo area, I am willing to meet anywhere in between.

Q: How long will it take to complete my project?

Timing all comes down to the scope of the work and the clients needs. It's hard to completely estimate how long a project will take me, however, if there is a deadline I will do my absolute best to complete the project on time. Otherwise after we've discussed what you will propose as a project, I'll give you a rough estimate on how long it will take me.

Q: What software do you use?

I use the latest updated Adobe Creative Cloud which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. They are the industry standard and will ensure that all the files I create will be compatible with all printers  web applications, and for any other need that's necessary.

Q: What file types do you provide?

I will provide you with all hi-resolution file types which include pdf, jpeg, and png's. If you need anything specific, just let me know ahead of time and I will provide to your needs.

Q: What if I'm not satisfied with your work?

Before I even get started on a project I am working hard to prevent this from happening.  This is done by asking a lot of questions and really making sure that I have a complete understanding of your needs and ensuring we're on the same page. In most cases when a client is unhappy it comes down to bad communication. I take pride in having a process that works and keeps everyone satisfied for the entirety of the job.

Q: Why do I even need a Graphic Designer?

A graphic designers full purpose is visually communicate ideas or information more clearly and effectively. They offer an in-depth knowledge of the principles of design and they provide the software skills to bring ideas to life. Experienced designers will be able to provide insights into your business and how to best achieve your goals through quality design. if you want your business to have a professional look and feel then you will need to have it developed by a professional.
